Fisheye View of Chapel Pass
Hesitation, Upper Washbowl Cliff, Chapel Pass, Climber: Karen Stolz
On a sunny, colorful fall day, just after peak foliage, Karen enjoys the warm rock of the Washbowl Cliff towering over Chapel Pass. To photograph the climb R.L. rigged a 300 foot rope from the top of the cliff, rappelled to just above the climbers and periodically ascended to interesting positions for photos. Carrying lenses in an assortment of focal lengths allowed photographs of varying perspectives to be made throughout the climb.
